INGREDIENTS

1 kg mixed mutton cut in to pieces

2 tbsp. ginger paste

2 tbsp. garlic paste

2 diced onions

½ cup vegetable oil

2 tbsp. cumin seeds

3-4 bay leafs

4 tbsp. garam masala

1 ½ tbsp. salt

1 tbsp. turmeric powder

4 tbsp. coriander powder

1 tbsp. chili powder

800gm finely chopped tomatoes  

INSTRUCTION

  • Heat the oil over medium flame, then add cumin and bay leaf.
  • When seeds splutter, add the ginger, garlic and onion to it and sauté it over high till the blend turn to light brown
  • Add garam masala, salt, turmeric, coriander powder and chili powder.
  • Keep the heat high and add the meat and turn around till slightly opaque and add 4 cups of water for the mutton to cook.
  • Lower the heat and let the meat cook and stir occasionally till the water dries up and fat separates.
  • Then add tomatoes and let it simmer, till fat separates.
  • Serve hot and garnish it with coriander leaves.
